What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Knowledge of curricular matters and the requirements of recent legislation
  • Current methodology and classroom management including planning
  • Understanding the needs of all pupils including those with SEND or who are gifted and talented
  • Good working knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Understanding of assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ progress and achievement.
  • Commitment to safeguarding requirements including health and welfare of all pupils
  • Knowledge and application of professional standards for teachers
  • Qualified teacher status
  • Commitment to on-going professionaldevelopment
  • Excellent classroom practitioner based on recent experience
  • Ability to co-ordinate a curriculum area

Further details about the role

The Governors wish to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated and committed teacher with high aspirations for children’s learning and behaviour to join our strong and dedicated team at Hady Primary School. A specialism in EYFS would be welcome, but we are happy to receive applications from a range of candidates. This role is part-time, two days per week, to start September 2024.

The successful candidates will have a good knowledge and understanding of the primary age range. The candidates would be expected to deliver outstanding English and Maths in a cross curricular approach.

The applicants will need to be able to work effectively within our committed and supportive team, maximising each child’s potential. They will have a significant impact upon achievement, helping to creatively enhance our provision and ensure that this school sustains its improvement. Our children are willing to learn, well-behaved and enthusiastic. They learn best when teaching is engaging and innovative. We want to appoint a teacher who have high expectations and will take a creative approach to teaching wherever possible.
