Based on the responsibilities outlined in the job profile, the post supports both students and the pastoral team through administrative, welfare and communication duties.

In this varied role, you will support the daily operation of the pastoral provision by maintaining accurate student records, logging behaviour and welfare incidents, liaising with parents and carers, supporting student reception, and providing administrative assistance to a range of school teams. You will also provide first-line support to students and assist with first aid and medical administration when required.

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can work effectively with students, parents, staff and external agencies.
  • Demonstrates resilience, professionalism and discretion.
  • Shares our commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people to thrive.

Previous administrative experience is essential, and experience of working with secondary-aged children or within an educational environment would be advantageous.

In return, you will join a supportive and welcoming school community where staff are valued and encouraged to develop professionally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful contribution to student wellbeing and the wider life of the school.

Therefore, applicants are not entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are ‘spent’ under the provision of the Act, and, in the event of the employment being taken up; any failure to disclose such convictions will result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
