YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:

  • Act as a non-teaching Head of Year and assist with all pastoral duties under the direction of the pastoral lead and SLT.
  • To support staff and students in restorative practices and run student intervention sessions to reduce repeat behaviours.
  • To run intervention sessions/support academic progress in the re-set and reflection room.
  • Collecting and/or interviewing pupils as directed by the pastoral leads and completing relevant documentation and uploading to CPOMS or other systems.
  • Under the direction of the pastoral leads/SLT, liaise by telephone/email/in person with parents/carers/external agencies
  • Complete On Call periods to support with behaviour hot spots, cover supervisor checks, uniform checks, N codes reports and investigations through liaison with the attendance officer
  • Promoting positive behaviour through the whole school rewards system as directed by SLT.
  • Attend daily pastoral briefing to discuss plan for the day ahead or discuss behaviour issues that have arisen
