Pastoral Lead & Deputy DSL job summary
As a Pastoral Leader at De Bohun School, you will:
- Take a lead role in supporting student behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and wellbeing, ensuring high standards are consistently maintained.
- Play a key role in the school’s behaviour systems, including participating in responding to incidents across the school.
- Build strong relationships with pupils to support them in overcoming barriers, making positive choices and achieving success.
- Work closely with staff, families and external agencies to provide targeted intervention and coordinated support for students.
- Monitor and analyse behaviour, attendance and pastoral data to ensure early intervention and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the smooth running of school systems and pastoral processes, including transitions and key events.
This is a dynamic and highly visible role within the school, offering the opportunity to influence school culture, support students at pivotal moments, and contribute meaningfully to the wider community.
