Pastoral Lead job summary
We are seeking an exceptional, compassionate and highly motivated Pastoral Lead to join the team at Lady Royd Primary School. This pivotal leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and develop the school's pastoral provision and make a significant impact on the lives of children and families across our community.
At Lady Royd Primary School, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential. As our Pastoral Lead, you will champion pupil wellbeing, attendance, safeguarding, inclusion and family engagement, ensuring that all children are equipped to flourish both in and beyond the classroom.
Working closely with pupils, families, staff, senior leaders, and external agencies, you will lead strategies to improve attendance, coordinate targeted interventions, support vulnerable pupils, and remove barriers that prevent children from succeeding. You will play a key role in strengthening relationships with families, delivering early help support, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing, and ensuring that every child receives the care and guidance they need to thrive.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and a genuine passion for supporting children and families. You will have experience working with young people, a sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and the ability to build effective partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience of attendance improvement, family support, pastoral interventions or multi-agency working would be highly advantageous.
As part of Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT), you will benefit from extensive professional development opportunities, collaboration with colleagues across the Trust and the support of a dedicated and ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional to lead meaningful change, improve outcomes for children and help ensure every pupil is able to Aspire, Succeed and Lead.
37 hours per week, term time plus two weeks, salary SO1 SCP 23-25 (£30,784 - £32,945 actual salary).
