Pastoral Manager job summary

We are currently looking for an excellent Pastoral Manager to join our team to support the social, emotional, behavioural, and educational development of students.

Duties to include: -

  • Providing pastoral support, monitoring vulnerable students and promoting wellbeing.
  • Supporting behaviour policy implementation through exemplary modelling of relational approaches.
  • Working with families to reduce absenteeism, including completing home visits when appropriate.
  • Serve as the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), leading all aspects of safeguarding and child protection and ensuring the highest standards of pupil welfare and safety.
  • Building strong home-school relationships and liaising with external agencies, representing the school through attending meetings as required. Leading the school’s offer of Family Help using local authority processes and procedures.
  • Removing barriers to learning and supporting all pupils to achieve their full potential.
  • Maintaining records and analysing attendance, behaviour and pastoral data.
  • Line managing support staff as appropriate.
