Pastoral Support Manager job summary
Fortismere is a high-attaining, mixed foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London with a strong tradition of excellence. The Co-headteachers are looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner to work with the Head of Year with the pastoral care of our students. The successful post holder will be knowledgeable, resourceful, energetic, and self-motivated, friendly and demonstrate a professional manner in our busy school environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to be one of our new non-teaching Pastoral Support Managers working with a range of colleagues and supporting students in a year group. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, it is essential therefore that the successful candidate is able to work under pressure, have a high level of personal drive, energy, and resilience together with relevant experience.
The successful candidate will possess:
A good level of ICT and administration competency, excellent communications skills, and the ability to work flexibly
A knowledge of working within a Pastoral team or similar
The ability to implement and maintain compliance and procedure across the school
Ability to problem solve and work inventively whilst managing a workload

The post is 36 hours per week from 8am start, Monday to Friday and is for 40 weeks per year.
