What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a compassionate, proactive and relationship-focused professional to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding role at the heart of our school community. Working closely with children, families, academy staff and external agencies, you will help remove barriers to education, strengthen home-school partnerships and promote positive attendance, wellbeing and engagement. You will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families, ensuring that pupils receive the right support at the right time. Through effective partnership working, you will help improve attendance, strengthen inclusion and enable every child to make the most of the opportunities available to them. This role will suit someone who is passionate about working with families, understands the challenges that can affect attendance and engagement, and is committed to making a lasting difference to the lives of children within the school and wider community. About You

• Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
• Level 3 qualification in Education, or equivalent.
• Level 4 Pastoral Support Practitioner, or willing to undertake.
• Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training, or willing to undertake.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience within the field of education, social services/welfare or the voluntary sector.
• Knowledge of the social and emotional factors that affect a child's capacity to learn.
• A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of pupils.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
