What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will be assisting the Payroll and Pensions Manager with the day to day efficient running of the Payroll and Pensions department. This includes working on all aspects of the end-to-end payroll and pensions process, providing timely and accurate responses to queries, liaising with colleagues in the HR department to ensure that all current payroll changes are successfully processed in the iTrent integrated HR and Payroll system and with our outsourced payroll provider to ensure that all changes are processed accurately and on time.
Essential:
- Experience of running payroll
- Experience with manual payrollcalculations
- Knowledge of Tax, National Insurance,Statutory Deductions, Statutory SickPay and Statutory Parental Payments
- Knowledge of pension legislation forautomatic enrolment
- Minimum GCSE Maths and English Standard
Desirable;
- Experience with using iTrent
- Experience of LGPS and Teacher

Flexible working opportunities
We offer hybrid working for this role. In addition, you will be expected to work across the Trust and to travel between sites where necessary. Please note that some of our sites are not easily reached by public transport.
