PE Technician job summary

Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only, plus five occasional days

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised PE Technician to join our thriving Physical Education department at Kennet School.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for sport, a talent for organisation, or an interest in building a career within education. Whether you are an experienced administrator or looking to take your first step into a school environment, this role offers variety, responsibility and the chance to be part of a high-performing team.

Our department benefits from exceptional facilities, shared with the on-site Sports Centre, including extensive playing fields, a sports hall, swimming pool and specialist fitness spaces. As PE Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of lessons and co-curricular activities. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining equipment, setting up and clearing down for lessons and fixtures, carrying out minor servicing tasks, and working closely alongside teaching staff to ensure pupils experience high-quality Physical Education.

There is also an opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to our co-curricular programme, with the chance to support and lead training sessions and fixtures for those with an interest in coaching.

The successful candidate will be proactive, flexible and well organised, with the ability to manage their time effectively in a busy and active environment. A genuine interest in sport and teamwork is essential.
