PE Technician job summary
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about sport and education to support teaching staff and students in a busy and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical and administrative support to PE teaching staff.
- Prepare and maintain sports areas, classrooms, and equipment to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
- Support teachers during lessons and extracurricular clubs, including supervising students and assisting with practical activities.
- Carry out basic repairs and maintenance of PE equipment or arrange servicing with approved contractors.
- Manage stock control, ordering, and organisation of supplies and resources.
- Assist with general departmental administration including photocopying, displays, fixture arrangements, and capturing pupil achievements.
- Undertake first aid training and provide basic first aid when required.
- Ensure all activities and equipment comply with health and safety regulations.
- Support the inclusion of students with additional needs.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong organisational skills.
- Someone with a keen interest in sport and physical education.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Willingness to undertake training, including first aid and health & safety.
- Be part of a supportive and passionate team.
