Peripatetic Guitar Teacher job summary
Oakgrove School is looking for a Peripatetic Guitar Teacher to deliver lessons at our Primary School; the successful applicant should be able to teach acoustic, classical, electric and bass guitar.
Peripatetic teachers at Oakgrove are self-employed and can choose their own pay rate. We would be happy to discuss hourly rates of pay at interview.
Lessons are delivered in normal school hours.
A total of 10 1-1 lessons of 20mins are taught each term within our school term dates.
Teachers may wish to offer 30mins lessons for students who require them if parents are in
agreement.
Teachers invoice parents directly (except for the first term where they invoice
the school) and provide timetables either termly or half-termly.
The school has a busy music department with choirs, orchestras, an annual production
and many events happening across the year meaning there are lots of opportunities for
students to engage in music making beyond their 1-1 lessons.
Contract is reviewed on an annual basis.
