What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a highly effective teacher with up to date experience of planning, teaching and assessing the KS1 curriculum who shares our vision to enable, enrich and empower all children. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of strong outcomes within KS1, achieved through high quality teaching and positive relationships with staff, children and families.

In addition to the class teaching position, we are seeking to appoint a curriculum and KS1 lead. This role sits within the senior leadership team and is suitable for experienced leaders, or aspiring leaders who are able to evidence their effectiveness in subject and team leadership.

The successful candidate will:

  • be self-motivated to develop professionally
  • have the ability to lead teams, providing support and holding others to account, whilst also working collaboratively with colleagues
  • be able to demonstrate their ability to adapt and scaffold learning through formative assessment to meet the needs of individuals and ensure good progress is made
  • be able to use assessment effectively to fully challenge and extend the learning of all children and be driven to overcome barriers for disadvantaged children
  • be experienced in effectively enacting change within schools
  • be able to contribute to the strategic direction of the school in conjunction with the senior leadership team
  • be committed to motivating, inspiring and nurturing children in all aspects of their education
  • be able to uphold our school ethos and values
  • be active in all aspects of school life
