Personal Assistant job summary

This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and organised Personal Assistant to play a key role at the heart of our education function. 

Your Opportunity 

As Personal Assistant, you will provide high-quality, confidential executive and administrative support to the Chief Education Officer and Education Team, enabling the smooth and effective running of the Trust’s education function. 

Working closely with senior leaders, you will play a key role in managing priorities, coordinating activity and ensuring strong communication across the team. You will act as a central point of contact, supporting the flow of information, preparing briefings and documentation, and ensuring meetings and events are well organised and professionally delivered. 

You will also provide delegated support to the CEO and wider Executive Team, working with the Executive Officer to ensure continuity and alignment across priorities. This is a varied and fast-paced role, requiring excellent organisational skills, discretion and the ability to build strong working relationships across the Trust. 

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a base at GLF Head Office in Banstead, Surrey, with travel as required.

  • Highly organised with excellent planning and time management skills, able to prioritise effectively and meet multiple deadlines 
  • Strong communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills, confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels 
  • Technically proficient with strong IT skills and experience managing information across systems and websites 
  • Calm, resilient, and adaptable, with the ability to handle competing demands in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proactive and motivated team player with strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous development

The Details 

Hours: 36 hours a week, 41/42 weeks per year (term time plus 2-3 weeks) 

Salary: Senior Specialist - £34,429 FTE 

Pro-rata salary: £31,137.99 (41 weeks) OR £31,897.46 (42 weeks)

Start date: ASAP 

Close date: Wednesday 22 July 2026 

Interview date: Tuesday 28th July 2026
