As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) within the Woodlands Enhanced Provision, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning, develop independence, and thrive within a safe and nurturing environment. Working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality personal and educational care tailored to each pupil’s individual needs, including those with complex physical, medical, or learning difficulties.
You will assist with all aspects of daily living, including personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and toileting, ensuring dignity, comfort, and wellbeing at all times. The role also involves supporting pupils in the classroom by helping them engage with activities, follow routines, and achieve their individual education and care plan (EHCP) targets.
The successful candidate will demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills, building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families. You must be attentive to each child’s needs and responsive to changes in their behaviour, health, or emotional wellbeing.
