Your Role in Building Brighter Futures 

 

As a Phase 1 Teacher at Wansdyke Primary School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish.” We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.

As Phase 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for: 

- Planning and preparing engaging and inclusive lessons. 

- Teaching according to students’ educational needs, including setting and marking   classwork and homework. 

- Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil progress and development. 

- Promoting pupils’ wellbeing and supporting their personal and social development. 

- Building strong, supportive relationships with parents and external agencies. 

- Participating in professional development, curriculum development, staff meetings and school-wide initiatives. 

- Maintaining a well-ordered and safe learning environment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Phase 1 Teacher who: 

 

- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). 

- Has successfully completed their induction year. 

- Demonstrates effective classroom practice and a proven ability to support and challenge pupils. 

- Has knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment for learning. 

- Brings experience of working collaboratively with colleagues and parents. 

- Shows excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills. 

- Communicates clearly and professionally in writing and speech. 

- Uses ICT effectively as a teaching and administrative tool. 

- Plans and differentiates creatively to meet diverse learning needs.
