Playworker job summary
Two Playworkers
10 hours and 10.25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
The usual working pattern will be:
Tuesday - 07:45 to 08:45 and 15:00 to 18:00
Wednesday - 07:15 to 08:45
Friday - 07:15 to 08:45 and 15:00 to 18:00
Flexibility: The above sessions are the usual working pattern; however, you may be required to change or adjust your working sessions to meet the needs of the club. A flexible approach to working hours is therefore essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children
- Supervise children during play, activities, mealtimes and transitions
- Plan and support fun, age appropriate activities and games
- Build positive relationships with children and encourage their participation
- Promote positive behaviour and good manners
- Ensure children are well cared for and their individual needs are supported
- Work positively as part of a friendly and committed team
We are looking for:

- Flexible and willing to adapt working hours to meet the needs of the club
- Able to communicate effectively with children, parents/carers and colleagues
- Patient and able to remain calm in a busy environment

Previous experience working with children is desirable, although applications from candidates who can demonstrate the right attitude, enthusiasm and transferable skills are welcome.
