Positive Behaviour Mentor job summary

At Winsford Academy, our core belief is that students come first and that all children, irrespective of their background should receive an excellent education.
We are looking for exceptional candidates who will be able to support and mentor students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The mentors will work with students in 1:1 sessions or small groups to develop strategies to improve behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation. Positive Behaviour Mentors will also support students in lessons and the RESET Inclusion room as part of a bespoke reintegration package.
Positive Behaviour Mentors will be able to deescalate behaviour and RESET behaviour, working closely with the behaviour, pastoral, SEND and wellbeing team. They will support the Inclusion Manager to adapt resources, monitor progress, and promote a positive inclusive learning environment where all students including those with SEND, mental health challenges or who may have experienced trauma are able to thrive.

The Academy was one of the founding members of the Fallibroome Trust, a highly regarded and outstanding Multi Academy Trust, based in Cheshire, providing opportunities for development and collaboration across the Trust as well as within the school itself.
