Premises Maintenance Operative job summary
You will:
- Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of pupils who attend the academy.
- Ensure the site, buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard.
- Carry out repairs, inspections and general upkeep to provide a safe, clean and functional environment for staff, pupils and visitors.
- Carry out maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, joinery, decorating and landscaping.
You will be/have:
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and precautions.
- A qualification or relevant experience in a specialist trade area such as joinery, plumbing, etc.
- Experience working as a caretaker and or/ relevant trade experience.
- A first aid qualification or a willingness to undertake.
- Strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
- The ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential material with the utmost trust, awareness and responsibility.
- Flexible and adaptable with a ‘can do’ attitude.
