About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) to join SLT in our friendly and inclusive primary school. This is a non-teaching role, working 2 days per week, focused on leading, managing and developing high-quality SEND provision across the school.

You will play a key role in ensuring that pupils with SEND receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage whole school SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice
Identify, assess and monitor pupils with SEND
Coordinate and evaluate interventions to ensure impact
Work closely with staff to support high-quality inclusive teaching
Liaise with parents/carers, external agencies and the Local Authority
Ensure statutory processes (including EHCPs and reviews) are met
Maintain accurate SEND records and contribute to school improvement planning
Provide training and guidance for staff to support inclusive practice

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
National Award for SEN Coordination
Proven experience working with pupils with a range of SEND needs
Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills
A commitment to inclusion and improving outcomes for all learners
The ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and external professionals
