Primary Teacher job summary

Alverton Primary School are looking to appoint two full time teachers, one to work in Key Stage 2 and the other to cover in different classes throughout the school. These roles will begin on 1st January 2027 and are offered as temporary positions to cover maternity leave (Key Stage 2) and a teacher’s secondment (general cover).

About You:
The successful applicants will be employed in Key Stage 2 or throughout the school. The applicants must: have a positive track record for pupil progress;have a track record of excellence in their classroom practice;have an understanding of current pedagogy;be able to evidence classroom management skills;have a proven ability to work as part of a team;maintain, form and develop strong professional relationships within our learning community;show a high level of commitment to, and enthusiasm for, the role;have energy, flexibility and drive;have high expectations for themselves and their pupils.
