Procurement and Operations Manager

Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a part-time Procurement and Operations Manager based in the Trust Central Offices in Corsham on a fixed-term contract.

Hours

22.5 hours per week, 44 weeks (term time, TD days plus three additional weeks during the school holidays) or 52 weeks per annum . The trust is happy to negotiate contracted hours, weeks and working pattern with the successful candidate.

Salary range:

K24 to K26, £39,862-£41,771 pro rata, per annum (actual salary £23,523 - £25,401per annum) depending on experience

Start date: as soon as possible

End date: 31st August 2026 however it is hoped that, should the post prove successful that this will be extended into a permanent role

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our fantastic team who is motivated to support the trust to achieve the best education for all of our pupils.

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with strong procurement and contract management experience, who can help the Trust deliver value for money across all operations.
The ideal candidate will be confident in building effective relationships with suppliers and school-based teams, ensuring compliance with regulations while driving efficiency and consistency.
They will also bring a collaborative and solution-focused approach, supporting future projects and initiatives that enhance the smooth running of our schools and central operations.

Job purpose:

Support the CFOO in managing procurement strategies and processes, working closely with school leadership teams to identify key supply needs, negotiate terms, and drive cost-effective solutions that meet the operational requirements of the Trust.

Manage the end-to-end process of individual procurement projects for the Trust, including overseeing the procurement of key supplies and services, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and aligning with DfE requirements thereby ensuring best practice.

Take responsibility for post-contract award management, ensuring that all Trust level contracts are effectively monitored, delivered in line with agreed terms, and continuously evaluated to ensure value for money for all Trust schools.

Provide operational support to Admin teams, ensuring that efficient and effective procedures are in place across all Trust schools.
