We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Procurement Officer to lead and support procurement activities across our central team and academies. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking finance function, where your expertise will directly contribute to achieving best value, reducing risk, and improving service delivery for staff and students across the Cabot Learning Federation.

In this role, you’ll work closely with senior leaders, academy teams, and external suppliers to deliver compliant and effective procurement processes. You’ll be instrumental in shaping procurement strategy, managing contracts, and ensuring that procurement activities align with legal requirements and organisational goals.

About you:

You will have:

  • Strong knowledge of UK and EU procurement regulations, with a commitment to staying up to date with best practices and legal compliance.
  • Demonstrable experience across the full procurement cycle, including tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify savings opportunities, and influence procurement outcomes.
  • Confidence in building relationships and providing expert advice to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders and external providers.
  • Proficiency in e-procurement systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A Diploma in Procurement and Supply and membership of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply).
