Cheslyn Hay Academy is an excellent school and part of an amazing Trust. If you want to work with exceptional students in a strong school that values staff wellbeing and happiness, come and join our team.

Cheslyn Hay is a high performing and successful mixed 11-18 comprehensive academy of 1400 students. With the strength of the forward thinking and progressive Windsor Academy Trust behind us, we work to ensure all students and staff can have High Expectation and High Achievement in all that they do. We are oversubscribed and value our strong community reputation and links.

Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in young people's lives? As the Student Refocus Lead, you will hold a vital, high impact position within the school. You will be instrumental in helping drive a positive school culture by managing our Refocus Room, a dedicated space designed to help students reset, reflect and get back on track.

This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, resilient, and empathetic professional to act as a mentor and champion for student success. You will work closely with teaching staff, Heads of Year and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that high standards of behaviour and discipline are maintained across the school.

The Challenge & The Impact

The Refocus Room is used to support students who have struggled to meet behavioral expectations and you will regularly work with students who are frustrated, disengaged, or facing complex challenges.

This role requires the ability to rapidly form strong, trusting relationships with students, de-escalating tense situations with calm authority. One of the main aims is to maintain a quiet, highly structured, and productive atmosphere so that students can seamlessly continue their academic work.

If you would like to find out why our staff love working at Cheslyn Hay, feel free to contact Eileen Morris on cha-hr@cheslynhay.windsoracademytrust.org.uk to arrange an opportunity to meet with a member of our team and arrange a visit if at all possible.
