What we are looking for


We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to become part of our team at Northfield Primary School on a fixed term, maternity cover contract. We are looking for someone with a pro active 'can-do' attitude and a passion for doing whatever it takes. Beyond that, we are looking for an individual who demonstrates the potential to excel in their role.


The successful candidate will be responsible for complementing the professional work of teachers by taking work for agreed learning activities, which may include planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for pupils, and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development. This role will be predominantly based in EYFS, however they may be some need for the successful candidate to also support KS1 and KS2.


This is a 31.25 hours per week, term time only, fixed term maternity cover contract, with an end date of April 2025. The working hours for this role are 08:15 – 15:15 Monday to Friday.
