Reading Associate job summary

READING ASSOCIATE

GRADE: E

HOURS: 37 per week plus 5 training days

Reporting to the Assistant Principal, you will be an integral part of Neale-Wade Academy, with the role to include:

1. Reading Intervention - Assessment and Programme Delivery

2. Administration - Managing reading materials effectively and maintaining a calm, clean, tidy learning environment

3. Professional Development - Engagement in continued professional development through the Thinking Reading Schools Partnership Programme

4. Reading for Pleasure Development - Administration of library reading resources. Promote, encourage and monitor borrowing of books using the library software programme

5. Professional Standards - To include maintaining and upholding literacy standards, the development of effective working relationships, attendance and participation in staff meetings and maintaining professional standards of conduct
