What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic person who is a flexible and skilled administrator to join our office team. You will be part of the front office staff dealing with visitors, students and staff. This is a key role in ensuring the effective running of the school on a day to day basis.
The Elmgreen School became part of the Dunraven Educational Trust in September 2021, and together we are focused on developing an exciting, dynamic and progressive community, focused on improving the outcomes for children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining the highest level of customer service, act as the first point of contact for the school, responding to internal and external enquiries, passing appropriate information to staff and assisting with the smooth administration of the school. It is essential that you are a positive and capable individual who is quick to learn.
Reception
- To provide effective communication links (telephone, email, reception and messages) throughout the school including but not limited to telephone switchboard duties, taking and circulating messages.
Administration
- To provide administrative duties that support the work of the Senior Leadership Team and the wider school. Including but not limited to support for parent meetings and evenings, completion of standard letters, , making up information packs and the collation of documents.
Student Welfare
- To cover the Student Services Officer in dealing with students who report to reception feeling unwell. As and when required by the Heads of Year, contact parents once they have given permission for a student to leave school because they are unwell.
- To be First Aid trained and be part of the rotation of staff that offer first aid as and when required.
