Reception Class Teacher FTE 0.4 job summary

We are looking to appoint a creative, nurturing, and motivated Reception Class Teacher to join our Early Years Foundation Stage team. The successful candidate will have a secure understanding of the EYFS framework and be committed to providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

You will play a crucial role in supporting children as they transition into formal education, ensuring a strong foundation for future learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a balanced curriculum in line with the EYFS framework
  • Support children’s development across the seven areas of learning
  • Use observation and assessment to inform planning and next steps
  • Foster a language-rich environment that supports early reading and writing
  • Promote children’s personal, social, and emotional development
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers to support children’s learning
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support children’s transition arrangements into Year 1
