What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential skills and experience:
DfE Qualified
Teacher status
Experience of teaching or having placements in Foundation Stage and / or Key Stage One.
Knowledge and understanding of:
the theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children (e.g. classroom organisation, learning strategies and intervention support);
statutory requirements at the appropriate phase or key stage;
the monitoring, assessment (formative and summative), recording and reporting of pupils’ progress;
the statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEND and Child Protection;
the positive links necessary within school and with all its stakeholders; and
effective teaching and learning styles.
The Class
Teacher will be able to:
promote the school’s aims positively, and use effective strategies to monitor motivation and morale;
develop good personal relationships within a team contributing to wider school life;
establish and develop effective relationships with parents, governors and the community;
communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) to a variety of audiences; and
create a happy, challenging and effective learning environment with excellent behaviour management.
