About the Role

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Receptionist/Admin Assistant to join our team and be a welcoming face of our school, providing an exceptional and professional front-of-house service to students, staff and visitors whilst contributing to the wider administrative functions of the school.

As the school’s first point of contact, you will welcome staff, students, parents and visitors, responding to enquiries in person, by telephone and via email. You’ll support the smooth running of daily operations through reception duties, communication handling, record keeping and general administrative tasks, always working within the school’s safeguarding procedures.

You will also play a key role in our reprographics service by creating, photocopying and printing resources, as well as helping to maintain printers and related equipment. The role also includes first aid responsibilities, so either a current qualification or a willingness to undergo first aid training is welcomed.

ICT experience is essential but specific training will be given on specialist school software.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety and who is an approachable, positive individual who loves helping others and can juggle tasks with confidence and professionalism.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly and confident when dealing with a wide range of people
  • Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to multitask, work flexibly and prioritise their workload effectively
  • Able to remain calm and efficient under pressure
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office and general ICT systems
  • Professional and discreet, with a strong commitment to safeguarding
  • A team player with a positive can do approach

In return, we offer:

  • A supportive school community with friendly, enthusiastic and caring colleagues
  • A commitment to professional development to support your individual career.
  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Electric vehicle charging points
  • A cycle to work scheme
  • A school with fantastic grounds on the edge of the New Forest

If you're passionate about supporting a vibrant school community and making a positive impact every day, we’d love to hear from you!
