What skills and experience we're looking for
York High School is seeking to recruit a Receptionist to join our busy but very friendly team. You will be one of the first people that visitors to our school come into contact with, therefore we are looking for someone who is friendly and welcoming, whilst being professional at all times.
You will be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including staff, students, parents/carers and visitors. You will have experience of working in a reception or administrative role and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Although experience of working in a school is desirable, what is more important is your genuine passion for working in a child-centred environment, ensuring students' needs are always put first.
The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change.
We would strongly encourage any prospective candidate to visit the school. Please email Dawn Becton, PA to Principal and Office Manager, at d.becton@yorkhigh.elt.org.uk if you would like to arrange a visit.
Further details about our school are available on our school website: www.yorkhighschool.co.uk
An application form, job description and person specification are available on the Trust website: Careers - Excel Learning Trust

What the school offers its staff
In return, we can offer a supportive working environment, with colleagues who care deeply, are experts in their fields and who are passionate about what they do.
