Sports Centre Duty Manager job summary

Casual contract, Flexible, midweek evenings and Saturday as needed.

We are looking to appoint a motivated and dedicated Sports Centre Duty Manager to join our team and help ensure the smooth operation of our leisure facilities. The successful candidate will have previous experience in the leisure sector and the ability to work flexible hours and to deliver an exceptional experience to all visitors. Hours are flexible according to the demands of the Centre but will include evenings and weekends.

About Us

Rossett Sports Centre is a friendly, community-focused facility offering a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports amenities, including the town’s leading 3G Artificial Sports Pitch. As a non-membership venue, we’re proud to make sport accessible to all through casual and block bookings.

We’re looking for a confident and enthusiastic Duty Manager to help ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the Sports Centre during evenings and weekends. You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day operations — managing opening and closing, supporting staff, handling customer bookings and payments, and making sure everything runs to the highest standard.

This is a hands-on role where your ability to stay organised, think on your feet, and deliver excellent customer service will be key. You’ll be someone who takes pride in creating a welcoming environment, keeping things running safely and smoothly, and helping people enjoy their experience from start to finish.

If you’re passionate about sport, enjoy working with people, and are ready to take on a rewarding leadership role within a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

Here’s what you can expect when you join us:

  • Flexible working options: We support work-life balance and are open to exploring suitable arrangements
  • Supportive environment: We prioritise respect, equality, diversity, and well-being
  • Community culture: Collaboration and generosity are at the heart of our team
  • Professional development: We invest in your growth at every stage of your career
