Reengage and Children in Care Coordinator job summary

We seek to appoint a committed and dynamic Reengage & Child in Care Coordinator to work with specific children throughout the whole school. As the lead professional within the Reengage Room, you will be responsible for ensuring that pupils accessing Reengage are appropriately supported and accessing a suitable curriculum.


As the main contact for all Children in Care (CiC) and previously Looked After Children, you will ensure all Personal Education Plans (PEPs) and reviews are completed to a high standard that allows students to make expected progress.


The successful candidate will be required to provide academic, emotional and social support to young people to help them overcome barriers to learning, ensuring that individual pupils engage more effectively in learning and participating in the life of the school. Candidates will have the ability to identify specific barriers and implement a range of strategies to support both basic skills and access to the curriculum under the guidance of the SEN Department.
