About this role
You will be an essential member of the team having oversight of our academies within the London and South region, providing them with specialist advice and guidance.
You will support the delivery of Ormiston’s strategic direction for infrastructure and sustainability by monitoring and evaluating progress against the plans, actively providing a link between the academies in the region and the central team and leadership group.
This role is key in supporting our aim to provide top class opportunities for all by working with the wider regional and central teams to deliver service to academies that allow them to operate economically, effectively, safely, and efficiently and provide suitable environments for staff and pupils. The role is home based with regular travel to academies and incudes line management responsibilities for the London cluster Site Manager.

About you
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead projects from inception to completion and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Key attributes include flexibility, adaptability, a proactive mindset and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in facilities and estates management, with essential qualifications including a minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial or operational role, expertise in managing budgets and external contracts along with a comprehensive understanding of building systems and statutory regulations. A foundation degree or higher and accreditation by professional bodies such as BIFM, RICS, or CABE are desirable, alongside qualifications in health and safety (NEBOSH or IOSH) and a strong knowledge of relevant ICT packages. The role demands experience in project and asset management, procurement and conducting building assessments, with the ability to ensure value for money and maintain high standards. Candidates with experience in school settings or interpreting government legislation for schools are particularly encouraged to apply.
