An exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference for our young people
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and resilient Return to Learn Manager to lead our new Return-to-Learn provision. You will be experienced, compassionate, and resilient in leading our provision and able to support pupils who are dysregulated or experiencing barriers to learning.
You will provide a calm, nurturing environment where pupils can regulate, reflect, learn and successfully reintegrate into lessons, using restorative, relational and trauma-informed approaches.
Working closely with our Behaviour & Inclusion, Pastoral, SEND and Safeguarding teams, you will support pupils through de-escalation, restorative conversations, targeted learning and effective reintegration planning.
We are looking for someone with experience of working with young people presenting challenging behaviour or emotional dysregulation, with strong de-escalation, restorative and communication skills, and a good understanding of SEND.
Above all, you will share our commitment to our Catholic ethos and Gospel values of Respect, Compassion, Truth, Service and Forgiveness.
If you are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and re-engage positively with learning, we would love to hear from you.
Our people are at the heart of our success and in return we can offer:
- Work with a values-led and supportive team
- Excellent CPD opportunities
- Entry into the Local Government Pension Scheme
- Genuine commitment to employee health and wellbeing, including a dedicated Employee Assistance Programme
- Access to education staff discount schemes
- The opportunity to support the wider school life such as trips abroad, drama performances, our student and staff choir and after school sporting activities
All applicants must be able to demonstrate an empathy for, and understanding of, the Catholic Christian ethos of the school.
If you have any questions or to arrange a visit to the school, please contact our HR department: hr@bgn.oxon.sch.uk or call us on 01295 264216
