Safeguarding Officer job summary

8am-4pm (Monday – Thursday) 8am – 3.30pm (Friday) 30 minutes lunch break

We are looking for an outstanding Safeguarding Officer to join our forward-thinking academy. Hours of the role will be Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm and Friday 8am - 3.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break daily.

As Safeguarding Officer you will play a proactive role in promoting a culture of safeguarding, acting as a deputy to the DSL, and ensuring that our students receive the support they need.

We are seeking to employ staff who have a thirst to develop young people to build teams committed to academic and pastoral success. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in influencing positive learning outcomes for our students.

We are seeking a compassionate and highly organised individual who:

• Has relevant experience in safeguarding, social work, education, or a related field.

• Holds appropriate safeguarding training or is willing to undertake further training.

• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is confident working both independently and as part of a team.

• Is knowledgeable about safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, and data protection requirements.
