What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a reliable, organised, and proactive School Administrator. As School Administrator you will provide efficient and confidential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the school, assisting staff, pupils, and families while contributing to a welcoming, inclusive, and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support, including word processing, data entry, filing, scanning, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with pupil-related administration, including registers, annual reviews, reports, and liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Operate office systems and equipment, including Arbor, ICT packages, and school databases, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Support the day-to-day running of the office, including reception duties, mail distribution, stock management, and uniform sales.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the school by assisting staff with routine administrative tasks, supporting training activities, and maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
Key Requirements:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, grade 4/C or above.
- Competent IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and school management systems (e.g., SIMS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with pupils, parents, staff, and external professionals.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Reliability, discretion, and a professional approach, including awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality, and equal opportunities.
