What skills and experience we're looking for

Joseph Hood Primary School is a successful, friendly and inclusive primary school. We seek to employ an enthusiastic and motivated School Business Manager as soon as possible.

We serve a culturally diverse community in Raynes Park. We were rated as ‘Good’ during our last OFSTED inspection in January 2022. We are a happy school where children enjoy learning and achieving in the context of a rich, vibrant, broad and balanced curriculum.

The School Business Manager works as part of the Senior Leadership team to assist the Executive Headteacher and the Head of School in their duty to ensure that the school meets its educational aims.

The successful candidate will promote the highest standards of professional ethos within the school and will also provide strategic vision and strong leadership in all aspects of school administration

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is reliable, flexible and adaptable, able to work with the changing needs of the school
  • Has excellent strategic/organizational/administrative/project management and ICT skills
  • Is positive and approachable, able to form positive relationships with all pupils, parents, staff, governors and other stakeholders
  • Has excellent interpersonal, communication and planning skills
  • Has confidence, enthusiasm and is able to demonstrate initiative
  • Has proven experience of management, financial and personnel
  • Has experience of working in a busy environment whilst remaining calm under pressure
