<p>Oasis Academy Ryelands is a warm and welcoming primary school, and our cleaning team plays a huge part in keeping our children and staff safe, comfortable, and proud of their school. </p><p><b>Job overview</b></p>

<p>You’ll work as part of a supportive team to clean classrooms, corridors, shared spaces and toilets to a high standard. The work is varied but rewarding, and you’ll quickly become an important part of the daily life of our school.</p><p>This is a permanent position working <b>44 weeks per year</b>. The working pattern is designed to ensure the school is fully staffed during term time and that staff are available for essential deep cleaning during key school holiday periods.</p><p>You will have awareness of security policies, maintain supplies of cleaning materials, and work with other members of the site team to keep the school to a standard expected by leadership and management.</p>

<p><b>We are looking for someone who:</b></p><ul><li>Has high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail</li><li>Understands the importance of maintaining a safe, clean and positive school environment</li><li>Takes pride in doing a great job</li><li>Is happy to work during key holiday weeks for deep cleans</li><li>Has experience of undertaking general cleaning duties </li><li>Has the ability to manage time effectively in order to carry out day-to-day operations and assist with the smooth running of the school</li><li>Has awareness of the relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working around children and young people</li></ul>

<p><b>Working Weeks & Time Off Restrictions (Important – Please Read Before Applying)
</b></p><p>This role is contracted on a <b>44 week basis</b>, which includes:
</p><ul><li><b>All term time weeks</b>, when full cleaning cover is essential; and
</li><li><b>A number of specified school holiday weeks</b>, during which deep cleaning takes place (exact weeks will be confirmed on appointment).
</li></ul><p>Because our cleaning team is small, we really depend on each other - especially during term time when the school is busy every day. For this reason <b>we cannot accommodate staff absence during term time. </b></p><p><b>All leave is taken during the non-working weeks outside the 44 contracted paid working weeks.
</b></p><p>This means:
</p><ul><li><b>No annual leave can be taken during term time or during required holiday cleaning weeks.
</b></li><li>Leave is automatically restricted to the non working weeks in the year, providing clarity and ensuring continuity of cover.
