What skills and experience we're looking for
Loreto High School is seeking to appoint an experienced and caring professional to play a key role in supporting the wellbeing of our students within our Catholic school community.
This is an important pastoral role focused on helping students overcome emotional barriers that may impact upon their learning, confidence and day-to-day school life. The successful candidate will provide individual counselling support, whilst also working closely with staff, parents and external professionals to promote positive mental health and emotional resilience across the school.
Applicants should hold a recognised counselling qualification and be accredited or registered with a relevant professional organisation.
We maintain high standards of behaviour and foster an inclusive environment for all students, supporting those pursuing higher education and those with special educational needs. Staff are expected to uphold the school’s ethos and reinforce policies on conduct and courtesy. We encourage involvement in extra-curricular activities to support students’ development beyond the classroom.
