Co-opted Governor Vacancies at Hill View School
Are you passionate about making a difference in education and your local community?
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Co-opted Governor/s to join our Governing Board and help shape the strategic direction of our school. Hill View school specialises in providing support and learning to vulnerable young people with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs
We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Human Resources (HR)
- Community Engagement
- Governance, Legal and/or Compliance
As a governor, you will work alongside fellow governors and school leaders to support and challenge the school, helping to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils and wider community.
What does the role involve?
Governors are strategic volunteers who:
- Help set the school's vision and strategic priorities
- Hold school leaders to account for educational performance
- Monitor financial performance and ensure effective use of resources
- Support the school's engagement with families and the local community
What skills are we looking for?
We welcome applications from individuals who can bring:
- Professional expertise in HR, legal practice, or community engagement
- Strategic thinking and good judgement
- An ability to analyse information and ask constructive questions
- A commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people
- The ability to attend governing board meetings and participate in school life - commit to at least three Local School Committee meetings across the academic year
Training and support will be provided.
