School Office Receptionist and Administrative Assistant job summary

Job Purpose

To support teaching and learning by providing high quality administrative support as part of a committed and flexible team.

Main Duties:

  • Working on the Reception desk to be the first point of contact, receiving and welcoming visitors.
  • Deal with all enquiries at Visitor Reception in a professional and caring manner.
  • Maintain student records using Arbor.
  • Produce all correspondence to a high standard with due regard to style, grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Use the school’s email system and In-touch to communicate with students and parents/carers
  • Undertake general clerical duties including photocopying, electronic filing and shredding

Support to Leadership and Pastoral Team

  • Liaise with Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Pastoral Support Team.
