School Receptionist job summary

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly school environment where you'll play a key role in supporting pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils, and staff.
  • Managing the reception area and ensuring all visitors are welcomed professionally.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to email enquiries.
  • Maintaining and updating pupil records using school management systems.
  • Assisting with general office duties including filing, scanning, and data entry.
  • Processing correspondence and supporting the day-to-day running of the school office.
  • Ensuring safeguarding and visitor procedures are always followed.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working in a similar customer facing role.
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience of working in a school admin role desirable
  • Enhanced DBS will be required for this role.

Hours would be 8am - 3.30pm term time only.
