Are you the kind of person who can keep smiling when the phones are ringing, the copier’s jammed, and someone’s lost their swimming kit?
We’re looking for a super-organised, unflappable, and friendly School Secretary/Administrator to join our team at Hall School – a vibrant and welcoming special school for students aged 4-19 with complex needs.
You’ll be someone who:
- Is incredibly organised and can juggle multiple tasks without breaking a sweat.
- Communicates clearly and kindly with everyone – from students and parents to staff and external professionals.
- Can stay calm and positive when things get a little chaotic (which they sometimes do!).
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and handles sensitive information with care and professionalism.
- Has good ICT skills and is confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Bromcom, Star Accounts or Budget Planner is a bonus – but not essential.
- Is a team player, ready to support others and muck in when needed.
- Has a great sense of humour and a genuine passion for helping others.
In return, we offer:
- A supportive and committed team who will welcome you with open arms.
- CPD and training to help you grow in your role.
- A generous pension scheme.
- Access to a musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation scheme.
- Norfolk Support Line – offering counselling and advice services.
- And most importantly… amazing students who will brighten your day!
Experience in a school setting is helpful, but we’re more interested in finding the right person – someone who fits our ethos and brings warmth, energy, and reliability to our school office.
- Salary Scale E (£13.68-£14.58 per hour)
- 30 - 35 hours per week (Minimum hours 9.00am-3.30pm)
- Term time plus one week – there is scope for additional hours during the holidays
- Start Date – As soon as possible
Please call 01603 466467 for an informal chat if you would like more information.
