Science Lab Technician job summary

SCIENCE LAB TECHNICIAN

Start Date: April 2026 (or as soon as possible)

Fixed term until 17th July 2026

Contract hours: Part-time - 15 hours per week worked over 3 days. The hours are negotiable and can be mutually agreed at interview.

Term-time only + 3 training days

Salary: Level 2D (Point 4-6)

Actual Salary Range: £8,693.00 - £8,971.00 (dependent on experience)

Are you a meticulous organiser with a passion for science? We are seeking a dedicated Science Lab Technician to join our Science Department.

As a vital member of our support staff, you will help ensure that our labs and equipment are safe and our students have everything teachers and students need for science lessons.

About the Role

This is an exciting and varied role. You will play a vital part in preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons and exams and providing assistance where needed. You will work with a team of technicians to monitor stock levels and maintain a safe laboratory environment in line with regulations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our school community and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.
