Science Technician job summary
Fearnhill School is seeking to appoint a Science Technician to join our team and provide practical and technical support within our Science department.
The successful applicant will work closely with teaching staff to help prepare resources, materials and equipment for practical lessons, ensuring that everything is ready, safe and well maintained. This is a varied role which will also include maintaining stock and equipment, supporting health and safety procedures and assisting with the safe storage and disposal of materials.
We are looking for someone who is well organised, practical and able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will need good attention to detail and a willingness to support staff and students in creating a safe, engaging and well-resourced learning environment.
Previous experience of working within a school or laboratory environment would be beneficial, but we would also welcome applications from candidates with relevant practical or scientific experience who are keen to develop within the role.
This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and supportive school and play an important part in helping our students get the most from their practical Science lessons.
