Science Technician job summary

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our supportive team and help provide practical support to both staff and students in our Science Department.

This is a varied and hands-on role. You’ll help teachers prepare apparatus, chemicals and other resources for lessons, demonstrations and practical activities, helping to make sure students get the most from their science lessons.

You’ll also play an important part in keeping the department running safely and smoothly, following health and safety procedures and helping to maintain a safe, positive environment for everyone.

You don’t need to have previous experience as a Science Technician. We welcome applications from experienced technicians as well as people who have an interest in science and are looking for an opportunity to start a new career. Training and support will be provided where needed.

We’re looking for someone who is calm, friendly and helpful, with a practical approach and the ability to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of a busy Science Department.

If you enjoy working as part of a team and would like the opportunity to support students in their science learning, we’d love to hear from you.
