Are you ready to take the next step in your teaching career? Do you have the passion and leadership skills to help shape the future of Maths education? Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust are seeking a dynamic and committed Second in Department for Maths to join our ambitious, collaborative, and inclusive team.

As Second in Department, you will:

  • Support the Head of Department and lead in their absence.
  • Drive curriculum development across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire high-quality teaching and learning across the department.
  • Lead strategic planning and contribute to whole-school improvement.
  • Mentor and support new staff, including trainees and ECTs.
  • Monitor student progress and ensure challenging targets are met.
  • Play a key role in assessment, examinations, and departmental planning.
