Secondary Teacher of Mathematics
We wish to appoint an experienced and motivational teacher with an outstanding record of managing pupils with challenging behaviour and ensuring good progress. You will be required to teach the above subject up to GCSE level for years 7-11, and lead the improvement of the subject areas throughout the school.
This is a particularly challenging role and the successful candidate must be committed to creating a positive learning environment no matter what barriers they may face. You will need a high level of resilience and a commitment to working in an emotionally intelligent team to support vulnerable children.

Essential educational requirements
Degree in Maths
Qualified Teacher Status
Essential skills and experience
Experience of developing and delivering programmes related to subject area designated in JD
An understanding of methods and good practice in reviewing and evaluating teaching & learning
Evidence of knowledge and understanding of effective record keeping, and its use to promote the educational and personal development of all children within a school or PRU
Knowledge of the National Curriculum, including Programmes of Study and national strategies related to the teaching of the subject area designated in JD
Excellent behaviour management skills based on a firm but empathetic approach with students.
Ability to build effective working relationships with a range of partners and stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
Capacity to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
Capacity to work flexibly and to adapt to the changing needs of The PRU
Excellent attendance and punctuality
