Are you passionate about supporting children with SEMH needs?

Do you want to be part of a team that not only gives pupils the chance to excel, but also drives positive outcomes for children across Luton?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SEMH Teacher at our Inreach provision, The Bridge, based at Maidenhall Primary School.

Do you strongly believe that?

 All behaviour is a form of communication

 Relationships are the key to highquality learning

 Every child deserves the chance to succeed

This role will give you the opportunity to drive real change—helping children with SEMH needs to thrive, shaping their future, and equipping them with the tools to reach their full potential.

What We Offer

 A supportive and friendly team who are committed to helping both children and adults

 A wellresourced setting and the opportunity to develop your vision for SEMH teaching

 Opportunities to grow your pedagogy with a team who enjoy continual professional development

 The chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children in Luton

This Role Is Perfect For

 A skilled teacher with QTS who wants access to the tools needed to truly support pupils with SEMH needs

 A colleague looking to develop their experience in an area that has a long term positive impact on children and the wider community

 A professional seeking to build experience working with pupils and colleagues in the field of SEMH

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a teacher to plan and deliver bespoke education packages for individual pupils and small groups. Our work focuses on meeting SEMH needs, maintaining strong connections with pupils’ home schools, and facilitating reintegration into mainstream settings or transition to specialist provision where appropriate.

The Bridge, based at Maidenhall Primary School, forms part of Luton’s Primary SEMH Service. The overarching aim of the service is to provide outreach support and early intervention to schools by guiding, advising, and modelling approaches that help meet the needs of children with SEMH difficulties within their existing school environment.

A key element of the service is the fostering of Therapeutic Thinking, supporting a cultural shift in how schools understand and respond to children’s needs.

Where Tier 1 outreach support is not sufficient, pupils may be offered Tier 2 short term placements within The Bridge.

We warmly welcome visits to our school and service. Meeting our Lead Practitioner and The Bridge team will give you valuable insight into our vision, values, and pupil pathways—and help you understand the impact you can have on our pupils.
